Timelapse Sagrada Familia

Welcome to our webpage showcasing a timelapse of the Sagrada Familia, one of the most iconic landmarks in Barcelona, Spain. Since August 2015, we have been capturing images of the Sagrada Familia every day, creating a stunning timelapse of the cathedral’s evolution over time.

For those who may not be familiar with the Sagrada Familia, it is a Catholic basilica designed by Antoni Gaudi, a renowned Spanish architect. Construction of the basilica began in 1882 and is expected to be completed in 2026, making it one of the longest-running construction projects in the world.

Our timelapse starts in August 2015, when the Sagrada Familia was already an impressive structure, but still far from its final form. Over the years, we have watched as new towers have been added, intricate sculptures have been carved, and stained glass windows have been installed. We’ve seen the construction of the Nativity Façade and the Passion Façade, two of the most stunning features of the basilica.

As you watch our timelapse, you’ll see the Sagrada Familia change from day to day, as workers labor tirelessly to bring Gaudi’s vision to life. You’ll see cranes moving materials and workers scaling the heights of the basilica to make sure every detail is perfect. You’ll see the intricate stonework and beautiful stained glass come together to create a breathtaking masterpiece.

We’re thrilled to be able to share this timelapse with you, and we hope it gives you a greater appreciation for the incredible effort that goes into creating a work of art like the Sagrada Familia. Whether you’re a longtime fan of Gaudi’s work or just discovering it for the first time, we’re sure you’ll find our timelapse to be a fascinating glimpse into the evolution of this iconic cathedral.
