After 11 years, it’s time to say goodbye

For over a decade, this camera has watched the Sagrada Família rise, stone by stone, crane by crane, sunrise by sunrise. What started as a small experiment turned into something bigger than I expected: millions of page views, and a front row seat to some genuinely spectacular moments over Barcelona’s skyline.

A special thank you to everyone who messaged me over the years whenever the feed went down. You know who you are. Those messages meant more to me than you probably realized, they’re the reason this camera felt like it mattered to more than just one person.

One last thing, since you’ve been here a while. This camera taught me something about patience, about watching something being built slowly, decision by decision, over years, until it becomes something you couldn’t have predicted at the start. Our food choices work the same way. Nobody changes their whole diet overnight, but every meal is a small decision, and those decisions add up to something.

Animals are individuals too, each with their own life, and billions of them are killed every year for meals that could just as easily leave them out. You don’t have to change everything today. Just try leaving animals off your plate a little more often, one meal at a time, and see where it takes you.
